January is National Hobby Month!! In the wild winters, brutal cold, and solitude of this season, we celebrate an observance meant to facilitate knowledge, worth, and drive. National Hobby Month is a reminder that hobbies deserve our respect and bring us joy. They are the beautiful transition to our best selves.

As someone who started my career as a hobby and has made it my career, I cannot overstate the importance of hobbies. So often they start as simple, silly things and move towards career Contentment.

And yet, for those of us who hold the beauty of our hobbies simply for ourselves, I commend you. A hobby that belongs only to us is also a tremendous, radiant joy that deserves to be honored. In a world that demands transparency, these hobbies are our lifeline to our daily work efforts. And for that, they are essential.

Today, no matter what hobbies you seek, or your own desires for growth, we wish you all the luck you most need.

Mentorship that supports us genuinely heals hearts.

January is National Mentoring Month!!

As a community-driven, purposeful creative, I truly believe in the power of Mentorship. When done right, it inspires hope, bridges knowledge gaps, motivates, and drives success. However, at its core, it is not us as mentors that are the key success story, it is our mentees.

So often, those who work alongside are separated from what they need to succeed, due to bias, judgment, or even gaps in care. And yet so often what they need is a space to feel safe, to be understood, and to be listened to. As their success starts with genuine acceptance, and acceptance leads to empowerment. And in the end, we all deserve to live an empowered life, whether that resides in art, play, or whichever passion they most seek.

Additionally, kindness is key to supporting those in need. It is knowing that patience on hard days is a lifeline. It is knowing that there is beauty in an angry voice. It is knowing that communication can be hard, but being willing to listen is a grace few offer. And it is knowing that no one is a mistake based on their Lived Experience.

So this month, may we all be patient, kind, loving, and forgiving, not for the success of our business, or the prestige it can offer, but for the sake of those seeking their best life, and may we all be able to embrace the beauty of our journey, creative or otherwise.

Today is a day of utmost celebration!!

R&H Creative Advocacy and Storytelling LLC is officially 4 years old!! Today marks the beginning of my formal work in running sensory-friendly programs and launching my first projects for the Neuro Spicy Community!

This journey has been one of wonder, hardship, successes, and brilliant magic. Many people have joined me on this journey, and 2026 has begun with one of the strongest starts to any year. While there is still much work and time to be done, I am already joyously celebrating.

But I must also thank everyone who has joined me during sessions, listened to me ramble, and helped to craft a world of magic that honors all.

So genuinely, I thank you and can not understand the gratitude I feel!

2025 Was a Mythical, Mystical, and Whacky Year.

While 2025 has been a challenging year for many, it has also been a year that has reaffirmed the value of goodness in work. That the value and heart of my job is greatly appreciated, and that is only supported by the wonderful and kind people I have met this year.

I have watched as our community has thrived, supported one another, and provided invaluable support to many. I am sure this support will only continue in 2026.

Today is a day meant to be communal!

Whether or not you celebrate, or you feel conflict, or simply need to rest, that doesn't diminish this day's purpose of joy. And it doesn't diminish its ability to bring quiet joy.

I know that for many, this can be a day of pain, and I, myself, included, but I encourage you to embrace its healing power as well.

While we may sit in silence or be surrounded by those we love, today's most actual magic comes from the spark of light, love, and simple joy.

This is a day to ultimately reflect on the wonder of this season, from the gleam of the sun to the wonder of a well-thought-out gift to something more spiritual. All of it is magic waiting to be found.

This is designed to bring mindful and compassionate Dungeons & Dragons to your community.

In these sessions, we will not only mindfully teach Dungeons & Dragons, but we will also support you while building community. These sessions will help us become a group of warriors able to become stronger together. We will do great things together, and most importantly, grow closer in a space that honors each of our voices.

Youth sessions are for ages 7-14

Teen are for sessions 15-17

Young Adult Sessions are for ages 18+

Sessions costs are on a sliding scale of $10-$25 per person and per session.

I am so proud to announce that our highly successful Youth Dungeons and Dragons Class Is Open For Registration!!

This class goes beyond normal D&D helping to facilitate lasting peer connections, teach real life skills, and inspire a broader connection to the community.

In this class we work hard to teach your family members how to become more confident in their skills and how to play the game with patience, empathy, and purpose. Additionally we teach them how they actually learn!

Here is a brief blurb detailing our class.

Learn to lead exciting Dungeons & Dragons sessions! This class teaches rules and shared storytelling to become skilled D & D Game Masters. Through active play, participants will craft and run their own sessions, developing leadership, problem-solving, and creative thinking. Students are empowered to find their voice and build strong peer relationships.

Level of Instruction: Beginner

So many Tiny Moments and Genuine Joys.

Dungeons and Dragons Class and our Dungeons and Dragons Master Class were a massive success!!

These classes ran for the first time this Fall Semester and brought together many new people of all ages. There was also a great deal of rolling of dice, laughter, and intriguing discussions held at our tables.

These moments only capture a minimal amount of the details, but honestly, it was an unforgettable time that ended with so much that will lead into our community's future.

I am so excited to run more sessions this February and long afterward in future collaborations with the Parker PACE.

I am so incredibly happy to announce I won the Colorado Big Idea Contest!!

My idea for using Table Top Role Playing Games to help introduce the community to the local resources, state programs, and to help job seekers develop job skills reached the top vote landing me at 1st place.

There was so much incredible support for my idea, as organizations, individuals, state employees, and friends who stepped up and highlighted it's worth.

However, while I was not certain my project would win, because of everyone who voted I most certainly knew it held value in its ability to be applied practically.

This program also has new eyes on it and in coming months it will begin to be implemented.

Today is a Day to Celebrate and Look Beyond the Surface.

November 19th is International Men's Day. This is a day to look beyond the surface level of the men around us. To observe the silence behind their smiles, and to honor their quiet strength.

In a world that so often expects men to be silent in their Mental health journey, we need to come alongside them and listen. This is an act of empathy, purpose, and love, while honoring the men we love and admire.

This is also a day to honor those men who serve as loving fathers, uncles, friends, and warriors by taking their hand and lightening their load. To offer a cup of tea, to make them laugh, and to help them feel valued.

We must remember that no journey is linear, not all pain is quiet, that even warriors need cheerleaders, and that hope is for everyone.
And for those men reading this, please know this stranger you have never met wishes you healing and support for your day.

The world needs fun

With everything going on, all the sadness, worry, and stress, fun has never been as crucial as it is now. Fun is a rare, wild, and beautiful thing that frees the spirit, motivates the mind, and encourages healing. 

As a professional Game Master and Storyteller, I cannot overstate how much I have seen this to be true. Whether it's rolling dice, crafting art projects in class, or simply making dorky and ridiculous jokes, healing truly happens in these moments.

This is not therapy, or escapism, but embracing a raw and magnificent moment of enjoyment. Our minds are not meant to be spent solely on happiness, especially since happiness is so fickle; however, we are meant to spend our time in community, in laughter, and in release. These fleeting moments deserve to be cherished and felt fully. This, too, is not selfishness, but a renewal of all that makes a smile. 

So today, embrace your fun, laugh freely, and choose to seek those things that go beyond happiness and lead to healing.

October 10th is Global Peer Support World Celebration Day!!

As a trained Peer Specialist and someone who works with many other Peer Specialists, I cannot understate the value of those who work in this field. This field is built on empathy, compassion, and experience-based care. This experience enables us to relate to those we work with, supporting them and providing the knowledge to create pathways to success.

While the peer support community is still growing in numbers and recognition, it is widely celebrated for its wisdom and the approach of its community members to care. Additionally, many have actively sought peer specialists to receive a different model of care.

Today, I encourage everyone to learn more about Peer Specialists, to continue your wellness journey, and to consider exploring this model of care if you want to become a part of or seek support from this community.

Finally, I highly encourage everyone to treat themselves well, to embrace their best life, and to apply empathy towards all.

Self-care is a gift to our future, spirit, and community.

September is Self-Care Awareness Month. This is the month to reflect on our worth and the power of our voices and to care for ourselves as we would others.

Despite the narrative arguing against this, we all deserve to step back, comfort ourselves, and gently honor ourselves. So often, we are the warriors fighting for others, the advocates championing better care for the community, or even the battle-tested workers dealing with an onslaught of complaints. Yet, this is exactly why we must heal, rest, and recover.

It is your time to chase that exact opportunity, to be present in the joy of tea, a fluffy sweater, or even a day of solitude, as there is no shame in seeking comfort.

It is my hope that no matter where your battleground, or cavern of worry, or humble,  hectic schedule, you may find the peace, the heart, the home where you can celebrate yourself this month and always. If only for a moment, a minute, or an hour, may it become yours.
